Midwest Sci-Fi Short Film Festival 2022

After a night at the club, a man tries to enter his car but is blocked by the software that runs it because of his alcohol level. The man and the car discuss like a couple until his physical and verbal aggressions grow unexpectedly. The film is an allegory for gender violence, by representing the distorted vision of a possessive man.

Midwest Sci-Fi Film Festival 2021

At first glance, Daisuke is just a dirty and undernourished Japanese homeless man, suck in a badly patched parka. Actually the man carries with him the weight of a thousands lives spent at a crossroads halfway between everyday reality and mystical dimension, out of time and space: there, Daisuke plays the role of an ancient Ronin of the past, whose guilt has forced him to an eternity of expiation and wandering both physical and spiritual. When Daisuke’s life intersects with Anna’s story, a young mother who tragically lost her son and is unable to “go on”, the tramp receives a “call”: a distress call that seems to come from another world. Trying to help her, Daisuke will have a hard fight with Eric, a young and powerful director of a company of construction whose life is destined to have a “point of contact” with those of Anna and Daisuke. The struggle and the fight of Ronin, however, represents something deeper and transcends the earthly dimension: Daisuke will be forced to deal with the inherent evil in the human soul, and make a radical choice that will mark his path to redemption.
